About Us
CARES Advocacy Group
CARES Advocacy Group is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the rights and well-being of underserved and marginalized communities. Founded with a deep belief in the power of equity, compassion, and collective action, we work tirelessly to create a society where every individual — regardless of race, income, background, or circumstance — has the opportunity to thrive.
“We envision a society where every person is supported, valued, and given a real chance to succeed.”
From the heart of Elmont, NY, we serve as a voice for the unheard and a hand of support to those too often left behind. Our work spans across education, advocacy, policy reform, and direct community engagement — all rooted in justice and powered by people.
???? Our Story
From Struggle to Solidarity: The Journey of CARES Advocacy Group
In every neighborhood, there are stories that go unheard — stories of families striving for opportunity, youth searching for direction, and individuals navigating broken systems alone. CARES Advocacy Group was born out of these stories — and out of a belief that no one should be left behind simply because of where they come from or what they look like.
Founded in the heart of Elmont, New York, CARES began as a grassroots effort by local leaders, advocates, and educators who witnessed the deep inequities faced by underserved communities every day. We saw neighbors unable to access healthcare, parents struggling to find housing, youth disconnected from opportunity, and families silenced in systems that were never built for them.
What started as small conversations around kitchen tables and community centers grew into a movement — a unified voice for equity, justice, and empowerment.
???? Growing From the Ground Up
Our name — CARES — isn’t just a title. It’s a promise.
It stands for:
- Community: The foundation of our work
- Advocacy: The fuel that drives our mission
- Resources: The support we help unlock
- Education: The tool for transformation
- Support: The commitment we offer to every person we serve
We understood early on that true change doesn’t come from the top down — it starts with people who care enough to act. That’s why CARES was built not to speak for the community, but to work with the community.

???? From Awareness to Action
Over the years, CARES Advocacy Group has:
- Launched community education programs to inform and inspire local change.
- Held public forums and workshops on social justice, rights, and civic engagement.
- Partnered with schools, shelters, and health providers to bridge gaps in essential services.
- Advocated for policy reforms that center marginalized voices and lived experiences.
- Built a powerful network of volunteers, mentors, and allies who believe in our mission.
Our growth has never been about numbers — it’s been about impact. Every connection we make, every resource we share, and every life we touch moves us one step closer to a just and inclusive society.
???? Why We Continue
Because the work isn’t finished.
Because the systems still need changing.
Because too many voices are still being ignored.
We continue this work every day — not out of obligation, but out of love. Love for our communities. Love for justice. And love for the future we know is possible.
We believe that when people are seen, supported, and empowered, they become the greatest force for change. CARES Advocacy Group exists to make sure that force is never overlooked again.
✨ The Journey Continues
At CARES Advocacy Group, our story is more than a history — it’s a living movement fueled by people like you. Every voice raised, every hand extended, every step forward adds to the legacy of change we’re building together.
We are proud of how far we’ve come, but we know the road ahead is long. Injustice doesn’t disappear overnight — it takes commitment, compassion, and community.
That’s why we’re inviting you to be part of the next chapter. Whether you’re here to support, volunteer, partner, or simply learn — you are welcome. Your involvement matters, and your voice has the power to make a difference.
